Lorne began his career as a welding apprentice within various oil & gas facilities. Lorne joined Variperm in 2002 as a Journeyman Welder where he was on the front-line welding SAGD liners and fabrication of various equipment, including wire wrapped screen assemblies. Lorne quickly became a lead welder and shop foreman working with engineering on R&D projects on how to improve welding and production capabilities. As time progressed, Lorne implemented numerous Quality Control Procedures while handling all the personnel details within the shop including hiring, training, performance reviews, promotions, etc. Currently, Lorne finds himself in the role of Manufacturing Manager handling many of the above responsibilities while coordinating with the Corporate office to plan and forecast production schedules.
